Description
The Canon EF 35-80mm f/4-5.6 was a very common kit lens bundled with many entry-level Canon EOS film SLRs during the 1990s. Canon produced several versions (I, II, III, USM, Power Zoom PZ). Most were characterized by their plastic construction, lightweight design, and basic performance. They offered a standard zoom range suitable for beginners but were not known for exceptional sharpness or build quality. The USM versions offered quieter (though not necessarily faster) autofocus. The Power Zoom (PZ) version had a motorized zoom function, which was not very popular.
