Description
The Yashica FR was a manual exposure 35mm SLR introduced in 1976, using the Contax/Yashica (C/Y) mount. It served as a mechanical counterpart to the electronically controlled Contax RTS, offering full manual control with TTL match-diode metering. It featured a horizontal cloth shutter and a traditional mechanical feel. This kit includes a Yashica DSB or ML 50mm f/1.9 lens, a common and capable standard prime lens for the system. The FR series (including FR-I and FR-II with added auto modes) provided a more affordable entry into the C/Y mount system.
