Description

The Asahi Pentax S1a was a simplified version of the popular Pentax SV SLR, introduced around 1962. It lacked the self-timer and had a top shutter speed of 1/500s. It used the M42 screw mount, compatible with the excellent Takumar lenses. Often paired with a Super Takumar 55mm f/2 or f/1.8. A basic, reliable mechanical SLR.
