Description
The Canon FD 20mm f/2.8 S.S.C. was a high-quality, relatively fast ultra-wide angle prime lens for the Canon FD system, launched in 1973. Offering a wider perspective than the common 24mm or 28mm lenses, it was favored for photojournalism, landscapes, and architectural work. The f/2.8 maximum aperture made it more versatile in lower light compared to f/3.5 or f/4 alternatives. It featured Super Spectra Coating and a complex optical design including floating elements to maintain image quality across the focusing range.
