Description
The Canon FX, released in 1964, was one of Canon’s early SLR models using the FL lens mount (precursor to FD). It was a fully mechanical camera featuring a built-in, coupled CdS light meter located on the front body, providing external metering rather than TTL. This example comes with the Canon FL 50mm f/1.8 lens, a standard prime for the system, and its original case. The FX represents an important step in Canon’s SLR development before the advent of TTL metering in models like the Pellix and FT.
