Description
The Contax RTS (Real Time System), launched in 1974, marked the revival of the Contax brand as a high-end SLR system, a collaboration between Yashica and Carl Zeiss, with industrial design by F.A. Porsche. It was a professional-grade manual focus SLR featuring an electronic shutter, aperture-priority AE, and a robust build. It introduced the new Contax/Yashica (C/Y) bayonet mount. This listing pairs the RTS body with a Yashica ML 50mm f/2 lens, a standard prime lens from Yashica’s own lineup for the C/Y mount, offering good performance as a more affordable alternative to Zeiss lenses.
