Black Mist filters
Work by diffusing light and lowering the contrast, without excessive interference with the darker parts of the image. This creates a characteristic effect. They create a subtle halo around light sources such as lamps or the sun. This effect is achieved thanks to the special construction of the filter, which effectively diffuses the light while maintaining the sharpness of the image.

Filters of this type are especially popular in portrait pictures, where they are successfully used to mitigate minor skin imperfections such as wrinkles or discoloration. They can also be used to create a romantic mood in landscape scenes or highlight lights in night scenes. At the same time, Irix Black Mist filters maintain a uniform and unchanged rendering of the colors of the filmed/photographed scene.
Three different intensity levels (1/2, 1/4, and 1/8) are available, allowing creators to choose the desired effect depending on their artistic vision. They can be used with a variety of lenses in both photography and filmmaking, giving you creative control over the ambiance and mood of your image.
The use of the highest quality optical glass, additionally covered with 18 anti-reflective coatings on each side, allows you to maintain the highest possible image quality. At the same time, the glass tempering technology (SR) makes it extremely resistant to damage. The additional waterproof and oil-resistant NANO coating prevents stains, and fingerprints and allows use in extreme weather conditions.
Low-profile frames and specially designed edges provide very good grip and functionality with an aesthetic appearance that harmonizes with all Irix products. Of course, filters can also be used with lenses from other brands.
