Description
Kiron lenses, manufactured by Kino Precision Industries Ltd., were highly regarded third-party lenses often considered a cut above typical budget brands in the 1970s and 80s. The Kiron 28mm f/2 for Canon FD mount was notable for its faster-than-average f/2 maximum aperture for a 28mm lens of its time. Kiron lenses were known for their solid mechanical construction (‘weight is reliability’ was almost a motto) and often excellent optical performance, sometimes rivaling manufacturer originals. This lens provided FD users with a fast wide-angle option.
