The Minolta XE-1 (or XE-7 in North America), released in 1974, was a high-end electronic SLR developed in collaboration with Leica (forming the basis for the Leica R3). It featured aperture-priority auto exposure, a smooth electronic shutter, and excellent build quality. A very refined manual focus camera.
