The Minolta XG-1 was an entry-level SLR introduced in 1979 as part of Minolta’s popular XG series. It offered aperture-priority automatic exposure and metered manual mode in a relatively compact and lightweight body. Often sold with a kit zoom like the MD 35-70mm, it was aimed at the amateur market.
