Extraordinary design possibilities
Treat yourself to a whole new view of things. You have to experience this angle of view. At 180ﾰ, the captured field of view is even slightly larger than the photographer’s field of vision. Thanks to the unusual perspective, there are no limits to creativity. Whether in panorama or landscape photography, architecture or even interiors: brilliant shots can be achieved with the Samyang Fisheye lens. Due to the extremely large depth of field and the gigantic perspective, all possibilities are open to the photographer who likes to experiment.
Optimised lens construction
The lens construction of the successor model to the proven Samyang 8/2.8 has been completely revised and optimised. All 11 glass lenses of the lens are multi-coated, resulting in excellent contrast and sharpness rendition as well as a well-balanced colour balance. Thanks to the use of three ED (extra low dispersion) and two aspherical lenses, image errors are almost perfectly corrected. This particularly high-quality optics of the lens ensures optimal image results. The very high speed of 1:2.8 allows for excellent shots even in less favourable light conditions. The lens hood is permanently installed and prevents incident stray light and lens reflections.
Using an APS-C lens on a camera with a full-frame sensor
Lenses designed for cameras with an APS-C sensor can sometimes be used (mainly by using an adapter) on cameras with a full-frame sensor. However, due to the much smaller image circle of APS-C lenses, the edges will be black. The usable area of the image photographed with a full-frame camera therefore corresponds to that of a camera with an APS-C sensor. The images must therefore be cropped in post-processing. Using APS-C lenses on full-frame cameras is therefore possible, but not recommended.
