Description
This is a relatively uncommon wide-angle lens, the Carl Zeiss Distagon 32mm f/2.8, designed specifically for the Zeiss Ikon Contaflex 126 camera system. The Contaflex 126 (introduced 1967) was an SLR that used Kodak’s 126 Instamatic film cartridges but offered interchangeable lenses, a unique combination at the time. The Distagon 32mm provided a wider field of view compared to the standard 45mm or 50mm lenses for the system. Lenses for the Contaflex 126 mount are specific to that system and not easily adaptable elsewhere.
